2020 Annual Conference Philanthropy Project
The 2020 FLA Philanthropy Subcommittee is excited to announce the 2020 Annual Conference Philanthropy Project. This year we wanted to try a little something different. We are going to be utilizing the Amazon Wishlist program to meet the needs of two separate programs.
Our first project
Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamian Islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama as a Category 5 and has devastated the island and its people.
Knowing all too well the aftermath and cleanup efforts needed to recover from this type of natural disaster, we chose to help the Hurricane Dorian Relief project with the Bahamas Red Cross. By using the Amazon Wishlist all items will go directly to the Red Cross and be distributed to those in need in the Bahamas.
You can begin to make donations anytime leading up to the conference just by visiting their Amazon Wishlist. You may also make financial donations to the Bahamas Red Cross by visiting their donations site and filling out the form.
Help us help them to get back on their feet.
Our second project
Participating in the time-honoured tradition of employing a friendly, furry buddy in many of our Florida libraries, we wanted help the Cat Crusaders out of Tampa, Florida to continue to help felines in need by providing basic essentials. Cat Crusaders, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit, NO-KILL cat rescue organization.
You can begin to make donations anytime leading up to the conference just by using the Amazon Wishlist program with Cat Crusaders.
